When you book a call with Dalton Heating & Air Pasadena, you’re not getting a random subcontractor or a rotating cast of strangers. You’re getting the same crew that has worked the San Gabriel Valley for years, the people who know that a Pasadena bungalow from the 1920s has different duct realities than a newer Altadena build. We’re a small, local team anchored by Marco Benitez, the owner and lead technician, backed by a network that’s been operating since 2003 under The Garrison Standard. Every person on this page shows up in a uniform, arrives inside the stated window, and prices the job in writing before touching a tool.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marco Benitez – Owner & Lead HVAC Technician
Marco started turning wrenches on HVAC equipment two decades ago, and he still runs service calls himself rather than just answering emails. He’s factory-trained on nine major residential brands, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard. Marco will tell you that some of the most humbling calls he’s ever run involved a simple clogged condensate line that presented like a compressor failure. A technician who admits when a job surprised him earns more trust than one who pretends every fix was obvious from the driveway, and Marco built this Pasadena location on exactly that kind of honesty. Off the clock, he’s usually rebuilding a vintage motorcycle or checking surf reports for a rare clean swell at San Onofre.
Tony R. – Senior Installer
Tony handles the heavy, exacting work: full heat pump installations, furnace replacements, and any job that involves cutting and sealing sheet metal to fit a home’s existing ductwork. He’s been installing residential systems for over fifteen years and is the guy Marco trusts to catch a slanted condenser pad from across the yard. Tony’s specialty is making a new system look like it was always there, which in older Pasadena homes means routing lines and ducts so they don’t intrude on a Craftsman’s clean sightlines. He grew up in El Sereno and can tell you which neighborhood streets flood during a hard winter rain, which matters when you’re scheduling an outdoor unit placement.
Lena M. – Service Coordinator
Lena is the voice on the phone when you call (626) 657-5344, and we mean a voice, not a voicemail menu. She’s been dispatching HVAC crews in Los Angeles County for over a decade and knows the traffic patterns between Pasadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, and La Cañada well enough to give you a real arrival window, not a guess. Lena reviews every service ticket for the written price guarantee and the 365-Day Done Right Promise before the call closes. She keeps a small notebook of every customer’s preferred parking notes, because she’d rather over-prepare than make a technician circle the block. On weekends, Lena runs a community garden plot off Arroyo Seco.
Diego V. – Apprentice Technician
Diego came to Dalton after completing his HVAC coursework at Mt. San Antonio College and has been riding with Marco for two years now. He carries the tool bag, checks the basics first, and most importantly, he asks questions when a diagnosis doesn’t fully add up. Marco will tell you that Diego once caught a reversing valve issue on a heat pump that looked like a straightforward thermostat failure, because he took an extra ten minutes to check the low-voltage wiring. Diego is training toward full factory certification on the same nine brands our senior team services. He’s a dedicated trail runner who logs most of his miles in Eaton Canyon and the lower San Gabriels.
One Standard, Every Job
The Garrison Standard isn’t a slogan we hang on the wall and ignore. It’s the operating contract our Pasadena team works under on every single call, and it’s backed by The Garrison Code: arrive inside the stated window, put the price in writing before any work begins, do the job by the book, leave the site clean, and stand behind the work for a full year. That last part means our repairs carry a written guarantee, and if the work doesn’t hold within 365 days, we return at no charge. No upgrade fee, no fine print. Every person at this Pasadena location, from Marco on a late compressor diagnosis to Diego bagging up old capacitors, is held to the same standard. We’re independently owned, but we operate as part of a network that’s kept the same rules since 2003.
